We’re delighted to invite you to the TROG Cancer Research 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), to be held from 9-12 March 2027 at Wrest Point, Hobart, Tasmania.

Our 2027 theme, Connected for Impact, recognises that research impact is not driven by scientific excellence alone. It relies on strong partnerships, capable and connected people, innovative ideas, robust infrastructure and effective systems working together.

The ASM is an important opportunity for our radiation medicine community to connect – to celebrate our shared achievements, present new evidence, strengthen partnerships, and drive the next wave of high-impact research.

We look forward to seeing you in the vibrant city of Hobart, renowned for its creativity, spirit of innovation and rich cultural heritage, and the ideal setting for the conversations, collaborations and bold ideas that will shape our shared future.

2027 Theme: Connected for Impact
Connected for Impact recognises that research impact is not driven by scientific excellence alone. It relies on strong partnerships, capable and connected people, innovative ideas, robust infrastructure and effective systems working together.

Our three subthemes are:

1. Connecting People
The individuals, teams and communities that drive research success — including research leadership, succession planning, emerging investigator development, mentoring, consumer partnership, multidisciplinary collaboration and workforce development.
2. Connecting Ideas
Scientific innovation and the generation of new knowledge — including innovative trial design, translational research, real-world evidence, registry-based research, artificial intelligence, digital innovation and emerging technologies in radiation medicine.
3. Connecting Systems
The infrastructure, partnerships and networks that enable research impact — including national and international collaborations, research infrastructure, registries and data platforms, sustainable research models, clinical trial delivery systems and research capacity across Australia and New Zealand.
